  • The Hudson Middle School staff is recognized at the national level by the American Middle Level Educators for its intervention and/or enrichment programs that support all students equitably. These programs include Response to Intervention (RTI), FOCUS, literacy enrichment and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, and Advisor/Advisee. The Advisor/Advisee program pairs small groups of students with a staff member for the entire three years they attend middle school.
  • HMS garners regional, state and national student recognition, Power of the Pen, Geography Bee, Spelling Bee, Ohio Math League, Holocaust Arts and Writing Contest, art category
  • The Treasurer’s Office earns two international Certificate of Excellence Awards for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
  • East Woods Ohio Math League Competition: 7 students placed in the top 75 out of 10,000 participants. The fourth and fifth grade teams placed 19th and 20th respectively in the nation.

  • 2013-2014: Energy Pacesetter Award: The Hudson School District received a top schools in the nation award from Cenergistics for leading the way for others in energy conservation and savings, this reflects a 14% cost saving totaling $342,000 over a 32 month period
  •  All school buildings earned Energy Star Awards
  • Cleveland Magazine’s “Rating the Suburbs edition”, June 2014, ranked Hudson City Schools 3rd out of 77 Northeast Ohio school districts
  • 2015: HHS art students earn 130 Scholastic Arts Awards
