Hudson City School District
The Hudson City School District’s textbook adoption procedure includes community input. The input format was developed to encourage participation from parents and community members.
All textbooks under consideration for adoption will be available for preview Monday, February 27 through Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Hudson Public Library and Historical Society during their normal business hours of 9:00am to 9:00pm. Additionally, Christina Wooley, Curriculum Coordinator, or I will be available to answer questions at the Library as follows:
Monday, February 27: 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 1: 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 2: 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
This year, we have one course with a variety of textbooks for preview, Biology.
We encourage community members to participate. The District welcomes comments and input regarding textbooks. Comment forms will be available at the Library and can be left in the drop box, or emailed to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The teacher textbook review committees will include community input in their decision making process. All textbooks recommended for adoption will be brought to the Board of Education at the first May board meeting, with board action taking place at the board meeting in June.
All are invited to attend. We look forward to receiving your input!
