Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! I am the assistant principal of both Evamere and Ellsworth Hill Elementary Schools and have the privilege to work with Hudson’s teachers and students from Preschool to Grade 2. I also serve as the Preschool Director for the Integrated Preschool Program at Ellsworth Hill. Before coming to Hudson, I spent 3 years as a preschool coordinator and 12 years teaching special education. I come from a large family with nine siblings so children have always enriched my life! My husband, Fred, and I just welcomed our first son this fall. We also have two vizslas, Maizy and Cassidy, who love their new brother AJ! Our family enjoys running, hiking, camping, and being outdoors.
I look forward to building partnerships and developing relationships with parents, students, staff, and the Hudson community. Please contact me if you have any questions. I would love to hear from you!

Preschool @ Ellsworth Hill
The Hudson City Schools offers an integrated preschool program that strives to provide an environment that positively encourages the physical, social, emotional, adaptive, aesthetic, intellectual, and language development of each unique child in a safe and nurturing setting.
Our preschool provides an early intervention and educational foundation for all children, including children with disabilities. Small class sizes and variety of instructional strategies enable our students to realize their unique potentials while exploring their environment and developing in many areas as they prepare for kindergarten. Each classroom has students with special needs as well as typically developing peer models. Licensed special education teachers teach the classes and differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of all our learners. Our maximum class size is 12 children with a teacher and 2 teacher aides in the classroom for a student-adult ratio of 4:1 or less. The preschool classes are in session 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday). The AM session is 9:00-11:35 and PM Session is 1:10-3:45. Placement is based on the school district’s Kindergarten zones (AM is North of 303, PM is South of 303 & East of Hudson-Aurora Road)
Integrating children with varying abilities provides our young children with a belief system that is conducive to positive character building and overall compassion. The preschool program accepts applications for peers each year in January followed by a screening day in February. Dates for the applications and screening are announced on the school’s website and in the Hudson Hub.
If you have concerns about your child ages 3-5 or would like more information for the integrated preschool program, please contact Tara Kieser (330-653-1236 x4198).
